Normalizing homosexuality? So our goal is to make them feel "abnormal"? The dear old Greeks recognized that love between two men could be as good (or better) than love between a man and woman. With that long a track record, and such an elevated track record (have we read our Greek philosophers on love?) what's the point in making homosexuals feel abnormal, except 1. People are just too uncomfortable with what their neighbors are doing in bed (and is that a good reason? I think not) 2. Religious objections- irrelevant in a secular state 3. The historical angle-we have a history of intolerance to homosexuals in this country (not a history that needs enshrining, imo)

What's the point? Two men or two women love each other enough to commit to marriage- celebrate it! It's love. I fail to see any problem except for 1-3 above- and all of those are ugly things to codify in law in a secular state.
