Since it's so obvious to you that Iraq is not Vietnam, tell us when the Iraqis are going to quit shooting at us. When will criminals stop shooting cops? When will drunks stop killing innocents on the highway? When will people stop dying of heart disease? To everyone but people like yourself, it's pretty evident that there will likely continue to be violence waged against US troops. And why is that? Could it be because the enemy knows that people like you will be willing to "bail out" at the first sign of difficulty? People who know the price of everything and the value of nothing? Should cops stop patrolling the streets when one them is killed in the line of duty? Is that all that's required for criminals to take over in the kind of society you seem to invision? If you don't trust the media go read the troop blogs themselves. Huh?? So things are so bad that they have time to hang out on laptops and file blogs? Where are they getting their connectivity? I would appreciate your posting a few of these blog spots. Just leave it alone. Eventually they'll catch up with the rest of the world. But for God's sake don't go waking up hornets that you don't have the guts to kill. Yeah.. just put your pillow back over your head and hope it's all a bad dream, right? Is that what you advocate for domestic policy as well? Do nothing.. it will all work itself out somehow? Tell that to the millions of Arabs who are living without economic hope and who blame the west (particularly the US) for supporting the regimes which have left them in this condition... 400 million muslims are currently under the age of 18... Even 1% of them becoming radicalized will mean 4 million potential terrorist bombers... Leave it alone my @ss... It all boils down to your opinion. My opinion? Listen Carl... tell us what the conditions would be in this country if 50% of the US population was under the age of 18 and there was 30% unemployment. You'd see radicalization and militantcy like we've never seen before, that's what... It's a NATURAL REACTION when people can't figure out why they are so friggin' poor, but their rulers are so friggin' rich... Now we can let the militants take over Saudi Arabia and the rest of the middle east, or we can create the conditions where the Saudis both repress the militants, while improving the lot of their average citizen... or we can sit on our 4th point of contacts and wait for them to come to us.. I don't have my head in the sand. Be sure to wipe when you pull it out of where it obviously is.. Hawk
