That's certainly not the fault of the US...

It's a global economy Gustave... Mutual funds, hedge funds, bond funds, etc.. If the Argentinian government and people are unable or unwilling to create the legal and political conditions to entice a portion of that investment capital to deploy there, then they will continue to suffer...

Argentina will likely be required to devalue it's currency, just like certain stocks have to be devalued in order to attrack risk capital... This is not a surprise to the global markets, because they are anticipating exactly that event to occur before they see the risks reduced enough to justify investing there again (bargain hunting).

I suggest you read Thomas Friedman's "Lexus and the Olive Tree".. And then re-read it, as I just finished doing..
