I would expect much more from Christopher Hitchens... Cannot understand why he even wrote the article.. What was the point? Hope is gone and what was Christopher trying to do .,, get even for some scorn of years back? It gives the appearance of a bitter writer... Of course the whole article was unnecessary to print in Slate.. Where were they went the article went in.... As for Hope,, he appeared to be a guy who loved his career and being in front of an audience and surrounded by pretty girls.. and he shared it with every GI because he knew that is what they wanted..(the pretty girls).. What a contribution he made to the USO...
