Sovereignty is sovereignty. We repelled the invasion of Kuwait because their sovereignty was violated -- and obviously not in support of democracy. The sovereignty of Iraq was never at issue -- Iraq was and is a sovereign nation, albeit one that is currently subject to foreign domination by an army of occupation. Were it functioning properly, the UN would need to organize a force or take measures to repel our invasion of a sovereign country.
