again, as a business architect I can't be outsourced, it would be like outsourcing product marketing.

For example my latest task (I am a consultant) involved creating a promotional pricing strategy for a large manufacturer. They don't give my job to pure techies, and since I routinely talk to the customer base I cannot be anywhere but local.

As far as the public sector, if Bush and congress doesn't reign in government technology business back to the US, I won't support Bush in the next election. Its tough monitoring government spending though because for example, if the DoD buys Oracle software which is produced in India (the core R&D I mean), is that OK? SO some tough restrictions need to be devised. I think any government projects at the fed, state or local level should be all US only.

BTW the GAO is preparing a report on Sep 10 which will illustrate the effect the visa programs have on the US economy. I am expecting a shocker. I think congress is waiting for this report and as soon as it is out, I am looking for action- no more visas minimum, this should happen immediately and next the gov't stuff. I didn't know Bush supported offshoring gov't IT projects either... do you have a link?
