I was going to guess it was going to be a stock deal just because you can usually put off any tax consequences until you decide to sell the stock. If it was a stock deal, I would sell the kodak stock right away making it about the same as cash I would hope. What I found interesting that this came from kodak and not from sony who I believe they did some development work for a couple of years ago. I don't want to start any rumors but the other thing I was wondering was if a bidding war could be started for lpac? The problem for someone like sony buying them would be that they would be marketing to some of their competitors in the movie and tv industry so things might not fly too well there so maybe kodak is a better fit here. Just some thoughts for what its worth.
