Historical perspective of Austrian school from today's Strategic Investment:

"***Austrian Economists?

First an "Austrian" economist isn't an economist from Austria. "Austrian" economics was a school of economic thought founded by primarily Austrian-born economists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its focus is on the use of credit to create economic growth--namely the dangers of using borrowed money to try and achieve prosperity.

This issue has never been more important. Today, Americans are more in debt than ever before. The government is again running deficits. And the Federal Reserve has promised to keep the money spigots flowing at full throttle to "stimulate" the economy.

All this debt is compounding the excesses run up during the Great Bubble of the ‘90s. In fact, excessive debt is causing deep and potentially lethal problems to the structure of the American economy. There IS a way out for investors--particularly when you understand that damage to the American economy is not just bad for the dollar, but good for other currencies."

I had been heavily in BEGBX, a euro based bond fund, for my "conservative" money but reduced exposure in view of the "bond bubble". Anyone know of (1) a euro oriented bond fund with duration less than 4 years or (2) a bond mutual fund with New Zealand, Australian or Canadian orientation?
