I don't think a single parent of one sex can be compared to two parents of one sex. The major problem single parents seem to have is time. They can't work AND supervise their children, and give them all the help they may need in school and in after school activities, because they are one person as opposed to two. I bet two same sex parents is darn near equivalent to two different sex parents.
