I bet two same sex parents is darn near equivalent to two different sex parents.

I wouldn't be surprised, but there's not much data. I think it's a pretty certain, though, that having two parents of the same sex is better than having only one parent, unless that one parent has a very accessible extended family.

I do wish people would quit bringing oranges into discussions about apples.

Did you read the link that Charley posted? There was a lot of interesting stuff there.
