Newsweek reporter passes rumor this morning that the Bush campaign is giving money to Dean to help him win Message 19175755 What the Bush-related media are missing is that it isn't strictly money that will win in '04 Its almost as if: a)Newsweek is working for Bush with planted stories and dismissive rumors b)Dean is a threat to Bush c)Grass roots Wellstone-type campaigning is a threat to Carl Rove / Gov't + Big Business type campaigns If Dean is a threat he'll be the target of the maximum effort Rove & Co. can summon, which is a lot considering ole Rove used to be a Dirty Trickster with Nixon's crowd.
