NM up 1 1/4 to 7 1/4 on more than 540,000 shares. That's 21%. There's been no news or SEC filing, as far as I can tell. At 2:37 pm, a flurry of buying lifted the stock from 6 1/8.

There's heavy volume in the Sept. 7.5 calls.

The stock jumped above its 50-day MA, and it just below its 100-day MA. NM has brokehe recent downtrend on heavy volume.

These are the only facts I know. Unfortunately, I have no insight into the big move. My guess is that the buying is not due to any news, SEC filing or analyst remark. And considering the sudden buying panic, I'd doubt that some institution is accumulating shares in the normal course of business. There seems to be some sense of time-urgency with the stock's activity. Speculation: An info. leak concerning an imminent takeover bid? If that's the case, we should hear something very shortly. If the stock is just acting like it did earlier this year, then it may mean nothing.
