WASHINGTON, July 29 (Reuters) - Cambridge Antibody Technology Group Plc (London:CAT.L - News; NasdaqNM:CATG - News) on Tuesday filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (News - Websites) to periodically sell up to $175 million in ordinary shares.
The Cambridge, England-based biotechnology company said it plans to use the proceeds from the shelf offering for general corporate purposes.
Its shares closed up 18 cents, or 2.5 percent, at $7.45 on Nasdaq.
Under a shelf registration, a company may sell securities in one or more separate offerings with the size, price and terms to be determined at the time of sale...
