No maybe that is what YOU were talking about. I could care less about that subject. What I was talking about was CIBC (specifically Saul Eyal) coverage of MRV. In that specific case I don't think he has been helpful beyond providing interesting compilations of the financial numbers,

CIBC initiated coverage at a "hold" in May 02 when MRV was trading at $1.96. Four months later the price of the stock went down to $.065. After the price had recovered to $1.08 in Feb 03 Shaul followed up with downgrade to a "sector underperform" essentially a sell.

So if one had followed his advice and held on to MRV shares from May 02 to Feb 03 he would have lost about half your investment. Then if one had again followed Shaul's advice and sold his MRV shares in Feb 03 he would have missed the opportunity to get your investment back with change.

What really gets to me his his "sector" underperform rating.
