Canuck D, I think it's true. There are built in drives. Gravity, heat flow, cash flow, desire, fear and freedom all push things along the arrow of time. Sure, things go wrong from time to time and Mao, or Pol Pot, or Mr Ludd, or other Amish types who fear change and the future will drag others down, creating mayhem for a time. But there's an irresistible force for the future which will not be denied. Mqurice
