err dont be too confident re: the FA on ati..

Im not a bull nor bear on either, but Nvidia still has the mind share which in my opinion is everything. Nvidia lost footing when they delayed the release of the fx5800 which later became the fx5900 which was also late by a month.. Of course it probably was a very wise move because the 5800 would never have competed against the ATI 9700/9800 so they ate crow and now the new nvidia 5900 is much more powerful and less expensive putting Nvidia back in the lead.

Another issue which has plaqued ATI IMO is the lack of support.. You pay to get help with your card, and trust me- most people need support with graphic cards as they are a nightmare to get working in harmony with the rest of the system. Also ATI has horrendous drivers simply because they rush to beat Nvidia out of the gate.

All my opinions of course and I have nothign against ATI.. I just follow the sector religiously since the old 3-d-fx company was my first real fat lose on wallstreet and I harbor that ill will towards the sector so to speak : )
