"Thirdly, I cannot see how Bush's tax cut was truly damaging to growth companies. Surely, some investors will turn an eye toward a
dividend bribe, but not all. Very many investors will want to avoid the luster of dividends for the even brighter prospect of returns
due to the innovations of growth companies."

A dividend is not a bribe and use of such inflammatory language here will not make you look very bright. A dividend is a reflection of a company managing it's money or business well. If a company does not see a more productive way to use money earned then distributing it is a good idea. In any case those folks who have created the profit are in the best position to make the decision. Any company with a good idea and a good plan to carry it out will find plenty of people willing to fund them. Idiot idea like many in the dot com bubble will not find funding as easy. As the economy recovers and more money is being made, more money will flow again into more risky investments.

Dividends are a bit player in the scheme of things.

In any case double taxation is wrong and we both know that.
