You are even misusing the notion of the reductio argument. A reduction argument assumes the controverted point (in this case, that homosexuality is equal to heterosexuality), and shows that it must be false because of the absurd consequences (if everyone were gay, the species would not have survived). Thus, it is preferable that heterosexuality be the dominant orientation, and if homosexuality were mainly a matter of choice, there would be reason to discourage it, and encourage heterosexuality, certainly absent current technology.
