Gore received 500,000 more votes than Bush! AND LOST

If Nader were not in he would have received all of those votes too! MANY, NOT ALL AS POLLING DATA INDICATED BUT GORE CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE WON

And it was at a time when the public was fed the Rock and Roll that Bush was a compassionate conservative, believed in humble foreign policy and did not believe in Nation Building.PRE-9/11 THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE WRONGLY BELIEVED AS DID I TO A GREAT EXTENT AS WELL.

He touted tax cuts to "Give Americans Back their Money" and was supported by Greenspan who said there was a risk of the Surplus being too high. SURPLUS WAS TOO HIGH AS WERE TAXES. DEFICIT SPENDING NOT A BAD IDEA IN A RECESSION--SEE FDR-- YES BECAUSE OF RECESSION, 9/11 AND WARS, WE HAVE WARTIME DEFICITS AND THEY MAY HELP US YET GET OUT OF THE RECESSION. THERE IS NO RELIGIOUS SIGNIFICANCE TO A BALANCE BUDGET UNLESS YOU ARE RELATED TO BURKE HICKENLOOPER, A 50S SENATOR WHO USED TO CHASTISE THE DEMOCRATS FOR DEFECIT SPENDING.
