I think you missed the point of gladman's comments. It's not that you went short on a stock and were wrong, it was the highly personal and vehmently untrue attacks you perpetrated upon others while you did it. Gladman is suggesting that you engaged in untruths and intentional deceptions while you used your high profile reputation to publicize your short position in that company. I sincerely hope you are innocent of all criminal charges, but you have no one to blame but yourself for your lack of tact and tactics.
