HomeBank ProLender chosen by two Ontario credit unions

2003-08-05 09:43 ET - News Release - HTI TSX-V

Mr. Bryan McCaw reports

HOMEBANK TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES TWO NEW PROLENDER INSTALLATIONS IN ONTARIO

Prosperity One Credit Union and Teachers Credit Union have selected ProLender, HomeBank Technologies' Web-based loan origination solution. Both have entered into multiyear contracts with HTI for a corporate ProLender licence, implementation, maintenance, support and hosting.

Beryl Roberto, president and chief executive officer of Teachers Credit Union, said: "After extensive due diligence, we decided on ProLender from HTI. As a credit union serving primarily teachers, we have very high peaks in lending volume. Important to our organization was loan-processing efficiency that would improve member service. ProLender will also provide our credit union with the opportunity for cost savings as our lenders will do less data re-entry to process the loan."

Peter Buwalda, chief executive officer of Prosperity One Credit Union, stated: "We've been working with HTI for several years. We've followed the evolution of ProLender and at this time we felt the business case existed to upgrade from our existing LOS to ProLender. We liked the processing power of ProLender and the numerous third party interfaces. ProLender will integrate with our core banking system providing a seamless interface for our lenders."

Bryan McCaw, chief executive officer of HomeBank Technologies, said: "New partnerships, like those being established with these credit unions, are helping to make ProLender the lending standard for Canadian credit unions. ProLender is now the most popular lending system for Canadian credit unions with over 75 credit unions using our Web-based system."

One of the largest closed bond credit unions in Ontario, with branches in Hamilton and Brantford, the Teachers Credit Union has been serving educational employees and their families for almost 65 years. The credit union is entrusted with approximately $250-million in assets by 14,000 members.
