HONG KONG — Hong Kong and neighboring Guangdong Province in mainland China reached a consensus Tuesday to reposition their areas in complementing each other and to further coordinate their infrastructure projects so as to avoid wastage of resources and unnecessary overlapping and competition.

Hong Kong will focus on stressing developing sectors of financial, trade, shipping, logistics and high-value added services, while Guangdong will continue to excel itself in manufacturing, leaders of the two sides said after a day of high-level talks here. (Kyodo News)
