I agree that the church should have put them on display and not tried to protect the criminals, but that is hardly a "greater problem" than the fact that children were violated in the first place.
From another perspective, I do not think these criminals were or are priests.....they made a conscious choice to be pedophiles and at that instant in time ceased being priests. Priest or gay predator?????? tough choice??????

Unfortunately that line is used to paint anyone criticizing gay predators as being homophobic, racist, conservative, heartless, redneck or any other derogatory term currently in vogue to describe those that are not of the liberal mind(less) set.
What in hell has happened to truth? As rare as it is in media, it must be illegal.
Case in point....In a discussion on another thread a woman screeched that the vast majority of pedophiles are straight males.....that is true if you look at the total number of known offences (it is suspected that a very small percentage of gay molestations are actually reported because of the embarrassment factor). However the fact of the matter is that gays make up 3 percent of the population (govt estimate), commit over 30 percent of child sex offences and consequently, based on a per capita quotient, are guilty of child molestations by a ratio of almost 14 to 1.
You won't see that comparison in the mainstream media.
