There are two qualities evident in the "ignore" people:

1). They are afraid of being bested and exposed as ignorant in open debate, and

2). They are control freaks who crave both control and attention.

The problem is not necessarily with their ideas (some of them are very bright). The problem is in their lack of self confidence and in their anal personalities.

I have never put anyone on ignore. It is the mark of an amateur at life, and a neophyte at wisdom. Such people wish to control the situation so that they orate to mindless sycophants who always let them "win"! It sounds very boring...and stupid, as well! <g>
