wrong mr word-twister

over 12K tax on the first 80K of income won't work in a globally competitive environment, this is just obvious... yes US workers cost much much more than indians, but they are there, we are here. So it will never be a completely level playing field. However, you need to at least TRY to stack the deck in your favor. The payroll tax won't work if the US wants to compete in a China and India-centric world. Notice I am not saying to remove these taxes completely (although I would like that, I would like to see SS and Medicare dumped for good) but in lieu of that, shift this burden to income, or something AWAY from payrolls.

I'm sure this would be a topic the WH would be addressing here, but because they gave away the farm with the dividend mess, its all hush-hush. When Greenspan was attacked by congress a week or so ago this was the topic at hand, except they were talking the manufacturing sector and there is much more than mfg going offshore- call center, accounting, tech support, programming, human resources and more. All white collar. And that is why jobs are not being created. That "lagging indicator" crap that Elaine Chow constantly parrots is a crock, and I'll bet even she knows it... remember, "she has an MBA!!!"
