I have heard (second hand) from people who talk to semiconductor sales reps, that when the subject of PLDs comes up at customers, the buzz is about Altera. Customers who buy PLDs see them as the leader based upon strong new products. Their competition should be respected, but I think this is a very strong indicator about the future of ALTR.

Customers are the ones who count "in the long term."
