I had some business dealings with Jr. in the mid-90's, though I never got the chance to meet him personally. He was working on a project for Geordie Hormel at the time. If I recall correctly, Jr. was a bit sloppy on some paperwork and Geordie was out $1 million, not that Geordie noticed or particularly cared. As an angel investor, Geordie had a reputation as being the fastest check writer in the West. Geordie, an unreconstructed hippie who owned (and may still own) a record studio in LA, also owned the second largest home in Arizona. He had a reputation for being quite the libertine, including naked girls in the halls and a smoky environment...if you get my drift. Jr. seemed to be in his element. Geordie lived next door to Sr. and I was trying to find an excuse to make a trip to AZ with the thought of meeting Sr. Unfortunately, the trip never happened. Trust me, from what I saw it was no loss to CA when they lost Jr.
