Looks like another miracle recovery under way.

From the Thomson Midday Market Report-
Brokerage shares are rising on some positive brokerage notes. Merrill Lynch upgraded shares of Lehman Brothers to "buy" from "neutral", calling the recent sell-off related to worries about the sharp rise in the long bond overdone. Additionally, Smith Barney raised third-quarter earnings estimates on both Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers due to expectations for better-than-expected fixed-income and equity trading revenue.

So, they upgraded each other? That sounds like a good reason to run the stocks higher. And this sort of bs is legal. What a world.
