If you can find them they're usually great. They have to have the little extra to stay in business.

Reminds me of a place in Bernadotte, too small to be on the map, 16 buildings on the Spoon River. We stopped for lunch one day and had some super fried chicken. They draw people from 50 miles for lunch.
