Nadine, you and I have had this conversation more times than either of us cares to recall. My position has always been that all things human have perspectives, frames, whatever. With good journalists those appear in the stories selected to treat, with some of the quotes, and with some of the adjectives. But those frames are in conflict with and always subordinate to getting the story right. The reason the NYTimes is vulnerable on the idiotic stuff the right is throwing at it is because it cares about getting the story right; and the reason the Washington Times and Fox are not is because they don't.

Rush is about as far away from caring about getting the story straight as one can get. He, obviously, like the rest of us, doesn't wish to be embarrased, so there are limits. But if he can get away with it, he certainly will.
