I like a place with a good salad bar.

Years ago I was on a fishing trip in Wisconsin and the guys kept talking salad bar special that ran on that night. All you could eat salad bar for $3.50. I got called stupid for ordering the $3.25 chicken dinner that came with the salad bar. I had the same dinner they had PLUS 3 pieces of chicken for lunch the next day. Being the generous sort I shared, gave away the wing and leg and ate the breast.

On the way back from Canada one year we hit a blizzard and stopped at a Holiday Inn in St.Paul, Mn. It was buffet night and no one was going to show up because of the snow. Because of the regulations no meat could be re served the next day so if we would only eat the meat it was 1/2 price and stay there as long as we wanted. Even opened the partition between the dining room and bar so we could see the entertainment.

From 6 until 11 we gorged, chicken, walleye and roast beef. Now this was when I was about 25 and on the way home from a hunting/fishing trip. Very active in those days, now it would kill me.
