I suspected that this would happen, NOT GOOD!!! I once
worked for Sass, he was THE major product development
manager that drove the development of the 8100, 8300,
P5000, Centura, and Endura platforms...... This tells me
that politics is getting cut-throat at AMAT. Sass was
Dan Maydan's right hand man, they were the most effective
team I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Sass should have become the CEO instead of Splinter, the problem
was political rivalry with David Wang (also a superstar!)
I suspect that Sass will become CEO somewhere else....buy
stock in that company if he moves!! Who would want Sass
as CEO, let's see, LRCX? NVLS? Anyone got other possibilities.
Sass's departure makes me question how effective Splinter
is. Apparently, there is discord at the top.
This guy would be a HUGE asset for any
company. Just announcing that he is joining would bolster a
company's stock price 10%, IMO..... BB
