| Graystone, I don't think that Copps can win the leadership, but she must run to force Martin to present a platform and be challenged on it. I think that if Martin is acclaimed it will be bad for the Liberal party.
As far as Sheila is concerned, if she fights a good fight, raises some rabble, and gets a good showing, it would make it difficult for Martin to brush her aside if and when he ever gets the opportunity to select a new cabinet.

So, if you ask me I will say Go Sheila Go.
If nothing else we would have four years of very refreshing government, like iced tea with a healthy blast of vodka.

If the electorate decides it's time for a change, and elects one of the other parties then it's a whole new ballgame. I don't think that Martin is interested in being leader of the opposition, or of a third or fourth party. I would expect that he would resign under those circumstances.

Copps, on the other hand, has proven to be quite effective in opposition. I recall the days when Copps and Nunziata used to go after that prick with ears Brian Mulroney and his assorted attack poodles, bagmen and hench thingies.

I think that without Copp's hard work, Canada would have been even more screwed over by the piece of shit from Baie Comeau than it was.
