it took nothing to do what Issa did. Republicans could have very easily won last November had they left the Issa's and Simon's of the world in the back seat. Nobody wanted Davis, he is as unpopular as Nixon in the middle of watergate. All you need for a recall in this state is a paltry 1 million signatures, you can probably get that with any candidate in a bad economy... I think that recall law has been on the books forever, the numbers are too low for a state this size. 5 million signatures, maybe.

What I like about Arnold is that he is quickly going to become the top republican in the country. He will drown out the far right imo. Well, we will see. I am THRILLED with Arnold's decision. I suspect he had a great deal of urging from mainstream republicans who are unhappy with the far right direction of the party in the state and nationally. Issa just initiated his own marginalization imo.
