>>Skeeter, this is more interesting than talking about MU :-).<<

especially when it's up another 2 points. ;-)

>>You are missing the point that I made earlier. If I run into the table (and I did not
know it was there), I get bruised. If I was a 1000 lb gorilla running into the table, it
simply does not matter. the table does not exist as far as I am concerned. If I was
an ant crawling under the table, the table is my universe. I don't even know that
there is anything beyond the table and it is not even a table, it is much more.<<

the table is still there for the gorilla. it may cause his foot to slip instead of causing a bruise, but the table is still real. its affects may be different (for the ant, too), but the table is still real and the table (not more, not less - just the reality) impacts the different entities differently. it's reality isn't in question - just the affects of the reality.

>>So, the notion of reality is not independent of the observer.<<

round and round we go... ;-) your statement is true if, as the observer, you view your perception as reality. based upon my perception, this is a very egocentric point of view. i don't have truth (wish i did!). i do try and find it which is why things like dram pricing are important to me. dram pricing is not necessarily the be all and the end all. perhaps mu has cured cancer and only told burlap. i don't know...

we all make decisions based on perceptions - which may or may not be based on reality. i agree - with regard to making decisions, perception rules the day. having said that, reality influences perception, hence, skydivers wear parachutes ;-)

the perception is that business is going very well for mu. either that or everyone is perceiving that everyone else is perceiving business is going very well for mu when, in fact, nobody knows for sure except a few insiders.

this perception fuels the reality of mu's stock price. yes, the price is real. the perceptions that have led to the current price may or may not be in line with the reality.

management only communicates reality in an in depth way during major press releases and quarterly reports. perhaps they are leaking information, i don't know.

the only public information that i'm aware of is that dram pricing is down 20-25%, dram demand is strong (which, imho, is a worthless statement b/c it doesn't address the supply/demand balance) and that mu can sell dram if they reduce prices by a nickel or dime. they also said that $6.50 would be their floor but i bet they were wrong and won't release this fact.

as for burlap. the guy is a dweeb with a self interest. perhaps all his buddies that bought in at $92-95 on his recco put a horses head in his bed so he's trying to pump the price. why is it that burlap only calls dram price bottoms and not tops? b/c he has an agenda. he left everyone hanging at $92 so he does have a history of being both right and wrong.

september will be one heck of a month. i hope mu continues to climb and dram continues to fall. then, when i pounce, the odds will be much more in my favor (though i might be perceiving the affect of 16 mb pricing reality incorrectly and may lose).

that's what makes a game :-)

btw, way, congrats on the perception of big gains. uh, i mean reality ;-)
