That coach who thought that any publicity increases interest due to our "reality TV" society is illustrative of the mindset. Guess what.... that wasn't a coach that said that, it was an owner (of the Dallas Mavericks). He made a billion or more by co-founding Broadcast.com and then selling it to Yahoo (and apparently getting out of Yahoo stock before the bubble burst). He is known for his adolescent tantrums on the sidelines of Mavericks games, and has been a recidivist receiver of fines from the NBA for mouthing off about officials and other matters.
