Because most economists thought that the tax cut was just a way from shifting the tax burden to the middle class. He had to search far and wide to find any who believed that crap. That is why he turned over his entire economic team. The cuts favored the wealthy who tend to save marginal income instead of the middle class who tend to spend it. You have to wonder who made the projections for him to miss by such a wide margin
But..... OTOH, when you come out with an obvious dishonest accusation that Bush LIED about the projected goals of a tax decrease, that makes you the liar and not Bush, because you KNOW that Bush didn't lie about it.

Where is your proof that it was a lie and not just a missed projection? Where is your proof that you are not being dishonest and lying about this issue?
