I don't believe that is correct, moving labor to other states is not the problem. Moving jobs to india is the problem.

The 3 milion + jobs this country has lost did not all come from California, the national unemployment numbers are not all california either.

But don't take my word for it, go to congress.org and search on the issue "offshore labor". You will see that this topic has surpassed terrorism as the issue du jour for most congressment I follow at least.... McCain has a bunch of messages, Lieberman, Bush "where did my job go", etc.

My personal view is, this protracted recession which was facilitated by Bush's war posturing forced companies into a long relentless cost cutting exercise. The length of this economic flatline facilitated offshore labor, had we had a short recession the snapback would have not allowed enough time to setup shop in india. But now, the horse is out of the barn. Snow is such a dummy he probably has no idea what is going on.... Elaine Chow has that MBA so she must be really really smart, I wonder what her action plan is.
