Recently the Nightly Business Report couldn't even get a bear to go on the air as the counterpoint to perma-bull Joe Battapaglia. This capitulation of the bears doesn't mean we are getting closer to the Big Kahuna, IMO. Ralph Acampura called this bull market several years ago by comparing the current market environment to the fifties. So far he has been dead on, and he recently raised his 1997 DJIA target to 8,750. If his comparison is right, and I believe it more every day, we will have some corrections but the Big Kahuna is a long way off. It seems that the Kahuna Bears have been crying "Movie!" in a crowded firehouse...
