I'm thinking the conflict between, just for a current example, truthseeker and jmhollen, is based on some fundamental philosophy.

Regardless of the laws, it's not unreasonable to feel that the stock market, particularly the pennies, is simply a buyer beware market. The lawless wild wild west, where anyone can say anything, and it's up to the buyer to not be a fool.

The other philosophy is that everyone should always tell the truth and follow the letter of the law.

Although personally i sign on to the latter, I can see the rationale behind the former.

Is that dumb or a good point?
