Chuck, The reason I posted the George Will column is to make that exact point - civility should be maintained. Acrimonious remarks towards or about politicians (who are not on this thread) may sometimes be in poor taste, but is not impolite to fellow thread members. A better tact would be to report egregious behavior by others, rather than respond in kind. Some of the more liberal correspondents on this thread bash some of the more conservative members and vice versa. We should all stop and get back to discussions. The intellectual level of the thread has deteriorated, and many of the old regulars hardly ever post. As an FYI since you have hardly seen me on this thread - I would fit into the conservative camp on FP issues. John
