For the stock-market, the Nasdaq is trading at 80 times peak earnings (which were registered sometime in 2000, and were bogus anyway). So I don't see how it can "improve" any more. The only way it can show any healthy growth is to drop to 400 or so and stay there for a few years before climbing up slowly.
