I wonder how many banks will have to fold before Uncle Sam admits their FDIC insurance scheme is unable to give anyone a penny of real money? What's the over/under on that little bet? Got World Depression II to go with Bush II?

Side note: Just over 3 years ago, my Money Market fund (MPIXX) was paying a healthy 6.20%. Now it's paying a paltry 0.18%. I fear the 1:1 ratio may eventually become unstable. Scary stuff. Any thoughts?
