Look I feel like I'm talking to a child.

Here is the article again. How am I lying? I'm just doing a cut and paste. If you have a problem with the article, write to the editor. It's "Islam online.net" I'm sure they'd be happy to hear from you. This is something that you do all the time over and over and over and over. What's the matter, can't take it? You want to be the cut and paste champ? OK - I'll crown you "cut and paste champ." Happy now?

Palestinian Fury Over An Alleged Poll Among Refugees

GAZA CITY - The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) dismissed Monday, July 14, reports claiming that just one in 10 of the Palestinians expelled from their homes when Israel was created in 1948 want to return there, and attributing the findings to the Center, sparking angry and even bloody reactions among Palestinians.

According to the alleged findings of the survey, only 10 percent of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Jordan would consider setting up home in Israel and obtaining Israeli citizenship.

Just 5.6 percent of those living in Jordan allegedly said they wanted to return to their pre-1948 homes, apparently because of favorable living conditions in the Hashemite kingdom. By contrast 23.2 percent of those living in Lebanon said they would favor that option and 12.6 percent in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Upon publishing the claimed results, angry protests from Palestinians were sparked Sunday. The furious protestors attacked the center at its base in the West Bank town of Ramallah.

Some members of the fuming crowd threw eggs at the institute's chief Khalil Shikaki, saying the results were dubious and would harm their right of return.

Seeking to calm the stormy protests, the PCPSR issued a press statement Monday dismissing the alleged poll results and stressing that “the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research emphasizes that claims by Palestinian Refugee Institutions in Palestine and elsewhere are sheer lies.

“The polls conducted by the center in the occupied territories, Jordan and Lebanon assert that any solution for the refugee issue that does not guarantee the right of return will never work out”.

The statement added that the surveys and polls conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research are always based on that fact and always seek to clarify the options of refugees once the right of return is obtained.

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research is owned by Khalil Shikaki, brother of the founder of Islamic Jihad resistance faction, Fathi Shikaki, assassinated by Israel in 1995.

Dr. Khalil Shikaki is a prominent Palestinian academic and enjoys great respect among the official ranks of Washington and the European Union.

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research periodically conducts polls and surveys among Palestinians and have been engaged lately in carrying out surveys among Palestinian refugees inside and outside Palestine.
