If you don't consider the possibility of Saddam gaining dominance over the largest proven oil reserves on the planet a national security threat, then again, we have nothing to discuss. To say that GWI was a disinterested act of altruism is just silly.

You can try to fixate Iraq as a "US protects puppetmaster Jewland" all you want, it simply doesn't fly. Certainly stopping Saddam's monetary support for the continued destabilization of the region through terrorists was a good, but it was not the primary good. It was a secondary effect.
