Yes, that was a poor choice of words. I fiddled with it a lot before I posted it. I first considered "gay bashing" but I thought that could be read as too specific to physical assault and I wanted something broader, like bigotry, but nothing else occurred to me at the time so I used what I used. I plead guilty to a senior moment.
