I blame the GOP for practically inventing and certainly promoting disgusting politically-motivated pornography. The Bush regime is doing the same today, this time with lovingly pornographic descriptions of torture, designed to coerce people by sheer disgust into accepting their totalitarian programs without thinking. Meanwhile, of course, they are using actual torture in Guantanamo and outsourcing their torture elsewhere, "allowed" by the Bush crowd since the detainees are refused POW status, so are not under the Geneva Convention.
