Hello Pezz, Today’s Report:
I needed to setup my portfolio for continued gains in 2004, and so have started to position accordingly, in line with expectations of further economic bad news and financial mayhem:

Shorted a dollop of FCX Feb 2004 Puts strike 25 @ 1.50/shr,
Shorted a dollop of HMY Feb 2004 Puts strike 12.5 @ 1.60/shr, and
Shorted a dollop of NEM Mar 2004 Puts strike 35 @ 2.60/shr.

I figure these little gambles will result in walk-around money either when they expire worthless or after I sell any shares put to me by anyone willing to sell the shares to me at the specified prices. I will likely be shorting more of these shares’ options on any gold correction, because they are sure bets.

Chugs, Jay
