I also heard that stuff about eclogitic signatures from Eira Thomas who said that the most important part of the chemistry of Diavik despites good peridotitic signature could be the eclogitic chemistry. (She also said Melville chemistry is probably eclogitic.) It is like an "underlying" signature, that is there, but "overprinted" by peridotitic or pyrope chemistry. I did not realize you could have both. In past posts I have wondered out loud how one could be dominant if both were present. In other words what do you go on, and how do you know what is the key?
