Ally, I know nothing about sound cards. Maybe someone else has an idea. Since it is built in to the MB, it cannot be removed anyway. Is there a way to capture what happened just before an XP crash? I have never used Dr Watson myself, but it sounds as if it could provide a clue computerhope.com Gottfried
